The Truth Behind Accepting Jesus Christ Into Your Life.
Accepting Jesus as one’s Savior is the One and Only way. There is not a dramatic flare that is added to the process. It is a simple transition between shedding the old and emerging with the new.
Some people take advantage of this concept. In their minds, it is more of a “say a few words and I get to go to heaven”. Which we know, as believers, is far from the case.
God does offer the free gift of salvation, yes!
Simply, too. (Praise God)
However, does He also expect for that individual to be a willing vessel for anything He needs him to do during his time here on Earth? Absolutely, yes!
Faith based salvation. Works based life. Not to be mistaken with saying, “works get you into heaven”, because they certainly do not.
There is no fooling the Creator of the universe. God knows who means what they say, and who doesn’t.
There are MANY individuals who strictly spew words from their mouths, knowing it means absolutely nothing to them. It simply looks “good” to the onlookers.
And, Yes! Our Father knows that.
However, for the few, wonderful individuals who do choose to dedicate their life to God… their prayer of Salvation is heard, and they know it.
It is felt, and as a result… said individual is given the opportunity to have a new life without fear of death.
This leads the believer to the natural next step, which is water baptism.
They know that God changed their life, and have no problem showing the world that change.
Is baptism necessary to be saved? No.
Does God command His children to do it? Yes.
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 KJV
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvellous are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.”
Psalm 139:14 KJV
